Bio
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State with a Masters of Social Work from New York University. I’ve been helping people for decades make positive life changes as they move toward greater well-being.
While I have a wide range of experience in different modalities of therapy, I work eclectically with no allegiance to a particular canon. Each of us have our own unique set of challenges; thus, there's no one particular orientation that works for everyone. My guiding principal is to understand someone as deeply as possible and to create a partnership in the context of a safe and trusting relationship.
It's through this relationship that we can develop an understanding of what's impeding someone's life and how best to proceed from there.
My post-graduate training includes:
Post-Graduate Program in Couples Therapy, Post Graduate Center
Post-Graduate Program in Group Therapy, Eastern Group Psychotherapy Association
Post-Graduate Program in Self Psychology, Training and Research Institute for Self Psychology
Somatic Experience Training Program.
Internal Family Systems Program.
I’ve written and given workshops on issues relating to mindfulness, stress reduction, fatherhood, work/life balance, and intercultural/interracial relationships.
I am a teacher of the New York Insight Meditation Center and serve on its board.
